In preparation for traveling to a work missions trip I stumbled across a sad but familiar story. Similar to Elliot and Brock Mealer, and Brandon BurlsworthMitchell Snyder a St. Ignace student athlete who tragically passed away in October 2015 when he was hit by a drunk driver on his way home from Homecoming.

I don’t enjoy discovering stories like this. It seems as if they find us somehow.  Thankfully, it seems God divinely ordains these opportunities.  Count on us praying for God to open the door for us to be used to minister to  those who knew Mitchell Snyder. That God’s will be done.

We don’t see the timing of the release of the “Greater” the movie 8.26.16 and the time we spent with The Burlsworth’s being any coincidence.  We have several resources that may be able to assist those still grieving and that’s what we hope to bring.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Father guide our steps each day, help us make them count for you. In order that we may have eternal impact each day through your power, in Jesus’ name Amen.
